Original Toronto Star caption: Out of Retirement after 9 years, trumpeter Buck Clayton (right) joined tenor saxophonist Buddy Tate with a comeback performance at the Westbury Hotel last night. Clayton agreed to join Tate on the Toronto stage after an emergency call last week when Cat Anderson had to cancel because of injuries sustained in car crash. Clayton had been sidelined since 1967, through various operations.
