Original Toronto Star caption: D-Day remembered. Metro Chairman Dennis Flynn; who dropped into France with the First Canadian Parachute Battalion the night before the D-Day invasion 42 years ago today; displays a wreath laid at the old city hall cenotaph by his former unit. I don't even like to think of D-Day; he said. He spent the day ducking the enemy and trying to team up with the other guys after getting separated from his group.
