Posing as a 35-year-old Forest Hill married woman seeking a private adoption, Star staff writer, Doris Hopper, chats with Metro Lawyer Irving Copeland in his office. Copeland said he has handled 1,400 private adoptions in 18 years of practice as a lawyer as a lawyer and charges fees of $800 to $1,000 for his services. He said he has travelled widely to bring babies to Metro. I've travelled as far as St. John's and Vancouver. he said.
