Original Toronto Star caption: Prince Philip strides along a fence lined by spectators after arriving with the Queen at Toronto International Airport today for a 12-day royal tour. The royal couple received a 21-gun salute and were welcomed by Governor-General Roland Michener and his wife and Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and his wife. A crowd of about 5;000 was delighted by the royal couple's easy-going manner as the tour began. The crowd; included housewives; teenagers and veterans.
