Original Toronto Star caption: There was rough water ahead. Anything goes at the Twelve Mile Creek annual canoe race and that included running through shallow water to pull your canoe or dumping competitors. Taking part in the race yesterday were 116 paddlers in 58 canoes, racing along eight miles of twisting, often fast-flowing river from Appleby Line bridge to the Queen Elizabeth Way bridge.
