Original Toronto Star caption: Don river becomes classroom for a day. A Grade 8 class from St. Monica's Separate School, on Broadway Ave., paddles down the Don River south of Pottery Rd. Saturday on their latest expedition. The pupils are in a special group, called Outward Bound, and have for the past year. Deciding trip down the Don-and back up - would be a new experience, they piled into six canoes off O'Connor Dr. at 8 a.m. and set off. They buy fheir own equipment for trips.
