Original Toronto Star caption: Ringed. Police surround football official huddling on the field as they decide whether to call the game on Saturday and play the remining nine minutes and 29 seconds on Sunday. Police kept back spectators and newsmen. Commissioner Syd Halter waited half an hour for fog to lift. When it became apparent the mist wasn't going to disappear, Halter held a conference with football officials and announced the game was postponed.
