The following Narratives, --the originals of which are in the possession of the Hudson's Bay Company, --were drawn up by persons who were eye-witnesses of the transactions they have described, and who came recently to this country for the purpose of giving information on the subject of the extraordinary occurrences connected with the Red River Settlement.--Copies of these Narratives were submitted to His Majesty's Secretary of State for the Colonial Department.--Introductory note, dated June, 1819.
