Lot 19, Con. 1 East. Mckee Ave - 20. Joshua Cummer House, front view. The Cummers were early settlers of Willowdale, which was first named Kummer's Settlement in their honour. Jacob Cummer (1767-1841) and his family arrived from Pennsylvania and received lot 18, concession 1 east from the Crown in 1801, and purchased the south half of lot 19 in 1804. His son Joshua (1810-1879) inherited the land on lot 19 in 1841. This house was built between 1835 and 1841. The house was demolished in 2003.
