Original Toronto Star caption: Flames destroyed the passenger section of an Air Canada DC-8 on the tarmac; then reached the tail. Five airport crash trucks and three Mississauga fire trucks poured chemical foam on the plane and the area around it for 90 minutes. At first the heat from the blazing fuel forced them to stay 75 feet away. Continuing explosions in the wing tanks of the jet blew the windshields out of two of the fire trucks.
