Original Toronto Star caption: Devastated by a $4 Million fire; the town of Cobalt is already taking the first steps toward re-building. Northern Affairs Minister Leo Bernier announced an immediate grant of $500;000 yesterday; along with a souped-up provincial relief program. Money has begun to pour in; including a $7;000 cheque from a Canadian Legion convention in London. Ont. Local mines have each pledged $1;000 plus low-interest $500 loans to those made homeless.
