Original Toronto Star caption: Residents of a Madison Ave. nursing home were forced from building by an early morning fire. Three were taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and remaining 21 residents of three-storey home were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for temporary shelter. After flames; smoke were spotted pouring from third-floor window; it took less than 10 minutes to evacuate building; fleet of 10 ambulances shuttled residents to hospitals. Blaze was confined to third floor.
