Original Toronto Star caption: Crews of firemen pour water on to burning Ontario St. houses yesterday; but; blaze levelled three under renovation and left 13 people homeless. Three houses - two north and one south - were damaged severely. Five Chief Ben Bonser said arson was suspected because a break-in had been reported in house where fire started. There were no walls in the homes; just studs; so fire spread through them like a barn; Bonser said. Fire could have been set by one of many transients in area who look for abandoned houses to find shelter at night; Bonser added. It took 70 firemen and 14 trucks to bring blaze under control - about an hour later.
