Original Toronto Star caption: Cat lover weeps. Fire caused $20;000 damage to Noreen Smeltzer's Soudan Ave. apartment yesterday; but she wasn't crying over that. Her pet cat Lacy perished in the blaze and when Fire Chief Ed Chatterdon broke the news to her; she burst into tears. The fire started in the unit's storage room and gutted the 6th-floor apartment.
