Original Toronto Star caption: Stretcher party prepares to move an injured passenger from one of the damaged cars. At right is a tank car overturned in the derailment. Other passengers; still dazed by the experience; wander about searching for their luggage. About a dozen ambulances were called to the scene to take the injured to hospital. Most of the train's 260 passengers were in the second and third coaches. The injured were hit by luggage and flying glass and thrown against metal.
