Original Toronto Star caption: All the model ships at the Ontario Science Centre on Don Mills Rd. are built by Ben Verburgh of West Hill and two part-time workers; Bob Irvin of West Hill and Manila Spessot of Scarborough. Verburgh (above); who joined centre's staff 13 years ago; has built 8 of 15 models on display. The work in full view of public; and also answer thousands of letters a year from hobbyists asking for advice. Most models are 1/8th-inch scale; Verburgh said.
