Inscribed in the print, l.r.: West Day Lithog 59. Gt. Queen Street.; b.: THE RED LAKE CHIEF, making a SPEECH to the GOVERNOR of RED RIVER at FORT DOUGLAS in 1825. One of a set of six (Accs. JRR 2348-53) of which Library's book collection has four (this being plate [2]) with front wrapper watermarked 1826 bearing title Views in Hudson's Bay... (BR JB fo O.S. 917.127 V37). The figure of Robert Parker Pelly (governor of Assiniboia 1823-5) seated at right replaces that of Andrew H. Bulger (governor 1822-3) shown in Rindisbacher's Westc. in McCord Museum (E.H. Bovay, Le Canada et les Suisses, no. 78, illus. p. 63 top; lith. is no. 80).
