Original Toronto Star caption: Tractor-trailers pile up on the 401 in the snow; The eastbound lanes of Highway 401 are blocked by trucks and tractor-trailers that jackknifed and crashed into each other just east of Trafalgar Rd. about 3 p.m. yesterday; forcing the closing of throughway at Highway 25. It took about five hours to straighten out the mess; and the 401 had been open only for about an hour when more trucks jackknifed near Campbellville; one of them turning over; and lanes were closed again; this time at Highway 6.
