Original Toronto Star caption: Savings galore were to be had in downtown Toronto Saturday as merchants started their after-Christmas sales. At this Yonge St. men's clothing store; the manager said 10;000 people had shopped there before noon looking for bargains in shirts and suits. All over town there were specials on everything from garbage bags to broad loom carpeting. Most stores reported sales were moderate to good.
