Original Toronto Star caption: Have a seat: Michael Spinks of the U.S. boxing team drops Rufat Riskiev of Soviet Union with a solid right-hand punch during 2nd ound of their middleweight fight for the gold medal. Spinks pounded Soviet in 3rd round until referee called off fight at 1.54. The Soviet claimed that the final punch; to the body; was a low blow; but the referee disagreed and declared Spinks the winner.
