Original Toronto Star caption: Billowing flames engulf a large tanker truck after it exploded while being loaded with jet fuel in the middle of a shell refinery in Bronte as firemen train their hoses on nearby storage tanks filled with more jet fuel to keep them cool. The explosion shook neighboring homes; but the driver; Ivan Patterson; was not injured. The 120;000 pounds of jet fuel was bound for Toronto International Airport.
