Original Toronto Star caption: Canadian Powerplant for Arabian Oil; Big 6;000-horsepower industrial gas turbine is lowered gently by Harry Rudge (at controls) and Joe Chapman into one of three Toronto-made crude oil pumping units destined for the Persian Gulf. Orenda Ltd. got the $2.5 million contract from Dubai Petroleum Co. Turbines; operating on natural gas will pump oil to tankers from undersea tanks which are submerged about 30 miles off shore.
